Welcoming Romina Oliverio, Change the Web's New Volunteer Coordinator!

Hi everyone! Late on a Tuesday's night, I want to shout out a huge big welcome to Romina Oliverio (and you should too!). Romina has volunteered to take on the role of Volunteer Coordinator for Social Actions' upcoming Change the Web Challenge.

Romina is currently the volunteer manager/online communities manager for Nabuur as well as a blogger at e-moleskining, contributor to We-Magazine.net, volunteer with Amnesty International AND is pursuing a journalism certificate at George Brown! With all that awesome stuff on her plate (and more!), suffice it to say we're super grateful to have Romina on the Change the Web team!

Romina is also an active Social Actions member and recently contributed the post “Happy International Volunteer Day from all of us at NABUUR.”

Romina will be helping to engage volunteers before and during the Change the Web Challenge to ensure the campaign's small window of potential to change the world is a success. Already, in the last week, Romina has published two awesome posts about Change the Web (here and here) and started the about-to-launch Change the Web volunteer wiki!

The most recent post (also published tonight) is a must-read and has re-inspired me to continue to work hard on the Change the Web challenge.

Romina also just rocks and I'm glad we found each other online and connected as friends. I'm also jealous of Christine Egger who recently had the priviledge of meeting Romina in Toronto!
