On September 16, 2008, Peter Deitz and I had a chance to present Social Actions' initiative, including the search interface and open API, at a Google Tech Talk. The video has just been made available and we're excited to be able to share it with all of you.
This presentation is rich in details about Social Actions and microphilanthropy, as well as technical topics such as the Social Actions API and Open Actions XML feed.
It's fun to recognize how much as changed since September -- we've grown from 20 to 50(!) participating platforms; My Social Actions has grown from 200 to over 1,000 members; and our list of known platforms has expanded from 80 online organizations to 140+.
Hi Christine, Thanks for posting this video -- It's a lot of fun to see where we were just six months ago, and all of the progress we have made. Can you update or remove the YouTube URL above the player? I had fun working on this presentation with you, and then carrying it out in Google HQ. Thanks for being a partner in crime in all things Social Actions and Micro-Philanthropy. All the best, Peter
