My Social Actions

Happy New Year's Eve!

I'm writing this blog entry on the last day of what has been an incredibly exciting year.

Around the world, people seem to be waking up to the fact that taking action on the issues they care about really does make a difference.

Social Actions is well positioned to meet the growing demand for high-impact and meaningful opportunities to take action.

In 2008, with your help, Social Actions created an open-source database containing 40,000+ actions from 30+ action sources. The actions include everything from donating and lending money to volunteering and attending nonprofit events.

In 2009, we want these actions to appear on the websites and social networks that you and I visit everyday. We want to make sure that taking action is never more than a click away.

Social Actions needs your help - including your financial support - to make it even easier for people to find and share opportunities to make a difference.

My team and I are currently raising $20,009 to jump start our work in 2009. In the last four weeks, 65 people have contributed to our campaign, raising $7,423 to date (or 37% of our fundraising goal).

If you have already donated to the campaign, THANK YOU. If you have been meaning to give, today is your last chance in 2008 to do so.

Please click on the link below to make a donation of $20.09 (or more):

You can also support Social Actions by sharing the link to our fundraising campaign with your friends and colleagues. Please let me know if you need instructions on how to spread this campaign via email and social networks.

Thank you for supporting our world-changing and web-changing initiative.

I look forward to collaborating next year to make 2009 all about taking action.

All the best,
Peter
