December 2008: Most Popular Cause-Related Search Terms

Social Actions is committed to making freely available the statistics we generate on the flows of philanthropic activity. One indicator of popular action areas is the search terms that people use to find opportunities to make a difference.

Below are the most popular search terms for December 2008. I have included all terms that were submitted to our search engine two or more times. I have removed search terms that do not relate to causes or contain the name of one of our action sources.

Hi Britt, Glad you like the list. It'll be interesting to see the keywords trend over time. On poverty, we'd like to start aggregating from ModestNeeds.org. On climate, I've been talking to the folks at OneSky and 350.org. On Autism, we'll be including LendforHealth shortly. And the list goes on.. :-)

I *love* this list, Peter. Are there any platforms (who aren't already Social Action partners) who specialize in opportunities that address climate change, education, poverty, Darfur, and other top categories?
