Convio, NTEN, and CauseWired Communications to Sponsor Social Actions' Change the Web Challenge

The last few days have been full of exciting news for Social Actions' Change the Web Challenge (launching in early February).

Until now, Joe, Romina, and I haven't been able to officially announce the sponsors that have stepped forward. But with the green lights coming in from the initial three, and more on the way, I can now say that Convio, NTEN and CauseWired Communications will be sponsoring our challenge.

The combined force of Convio, NTEN and CauseWired Communications means that our Change the Web Challenge now has a guaranteed reach in the tens of thousands of nonprofit and philanthropy professionals. With those kinds of numbers, I'm becoming more and more convinced that we really can change the world by changing the web.

Note: We are still accepting inquiries from prospective sponsors. If your nonprofit, foundation or company is interested in becoming an official or media sponsor, please contact me at peter@socialactions.com.

Confirmed Official Sponsor

Convio is the first confirmed official sponsor of Social Actions' Change the Web Challenge. In addition to contributing to the $10,000 in cash prizes, Convio will be leveraging its vast network of clients and supporters to draw attention to our competition. In addition, Convio has invited Social Actions to play an active role as a guest blogger on Connection Cafe. Welcome Convio!

(Hat-tip to Corey Pudhorodsky of the 501c3cast (and Services Engineer at Convio) for singing our praise to the right people.)

Confirmed Media Sponsors

NTEN is the first confirmed media sponsor. NTEN will play a major role in getting the word out about the challenge: both encouraging people to submit applications and reminding people to vote when the entries have been submitted. NTEN will be contacting tech-savvy members on our behalf and will host 1 or 2 webinars in which Social Actions will feature some of the coolest entries in the Change the Web Challenge. Social Actions will also announce the Change the Web Challenge winners during the award ceremony on the closing day of NTC 2009. Welcome NTEN!

CauseWired Communications is the second confirmed media sponsor for our upcoming challenge. Among other things, the firm's founder Tom Watson is going to help us get the word out by blogging about the challenge on CauseWired.com and featuring Social Actions as a guest blogger on onPhilanthropy. Welcome CauseWired Communications!
