The New York Times recently ran a piece about insurance in Rwanda, and highlighted the difficulty many Rwandans have in paying the minimal premiums and co-payments involved in the government health plan. This is a big part of the reason Policies for the Poor was formed. Donating to give people access to healthcare does not cost a lot, and its benefits can literally be life-saving.
