In addition to my do-gooder work, I'm also an improvisation trainer, teaching businesses how to work better together using techniques derived from improv. I truly believe that the cooperative nature of improvisation is a general force for good in the world. More than about "being funny," improvisation teaches us to listen, to value others' ideas, to put aside one's own interests for a time, to make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.
